A Comprehensive range of CSS products
The Steriking® range of products offers a comprehensive selection of items to meet the needs of Operating Rooms and Sterile Supply service units in hospitals. All products are designed, manufactured and distributed to meet the highest standard in critical aspects of mechanical, chemical and biological strength and safety in product performance in the intended use.

See-through peel pouches and rolls

The Steriking® Clean Peel range of see-through packaging is a safe and convenient choice of a packaging material for surgical and such sterile supplies. The Clean Peel range is made of a medical grade paper that is heat sealed to a unique Multi-X multilayer film that resists high temperatures but has high tensile strength. These products feature strong sealing properties, preventing possible packaging bursting failure. The low incidence of bursting and tearing minimizes resterilization load and costs.

Steriking® Clean Peel products are available in a wide range of sizes as readymade pouches or tubing fit for the large variety of items in hospitals. The standard range is suitable for sterilization in steam and EO or FO gas processes.

The see-through packaging is a time saving concept in use. It is fast and easy to pack an item into a pouch and to close it by a heat sealer. The identification of packed instruments is easy because of the transparent plastic film. The green color of the film facilitates visual control of the seal integrity. Steriking® provides for a reliable processing and safe presentation of a packed item.

Self seal peel pouches

Wipak offers a dedicated range of self sealable sterilization pouches for hospitals, dentists and other medical practices. These pouches are made with a self adhesive tape strip that provides for tight closing without a heat sealing unit.

The latest innovation Steriking® SS-T Self Seal Plus pouches that feature an attached internal indicator strip. The closure system is printed with steam and gas indicators and when tearing the indicator strip off from the tape it can place into the pouch. The color change of indicators on the strip provides for improved evidence that the pack has been processed.

Pouches and rolls made with DuPont™ Tyvek®, dust cover bags and paper bags

The Steriking® BlueLine Pouches and Rolls are designed for sterilization in hydrogen plasma at low temperatures and are made of DuPont™ Tyvek® and PET/PE plastic film. The products are tested and validated for their intended use by a third-party laboratory. The pouches are made as regular heat sealable and also as self seal version. The BlueLine range is complemented by Plasma Indicator Tape Strips that provide for a unique closing concept.

The Steriking® Cover Bags provide extra protection against contamination to sterilized items. They are made of an extremely tough and durable multilayer plastic film providing superior peel-open characteristics compared to the conventional tear-off bags. The products are available as heat seal and self seal versions. The right choice of packaging for transport and storage extends the shelf life of sterile goods.

Sterilization & OR Wrapping Sheets of paper or nonwoven

All products are in compliance with international standards and they are designed for inner and outer wraps for medium and large trays and gown sets. They are also the ideal choice for container liners.

The Steriking ® ProWrap SMX range provides superior toughness and a light-weight appearance. State-of-the-art technology has enabled this unique Multilayer SMX concept to be developed with five spunbonded and meltblown layers (SSMMS). Conventional grammage counting is no longer essential. Based on polypropylene fibers, ProWrap is extremely durable with high tear strength and excellent water repellency. The products are sterilizable in steam, EO, FO and hydrogen plasma. ProWrap sheets offer optimal softness and drapability for user convenience. They can be combined particularly well with standard nonwoven or crepe, and are designed for small, medium-size and heavy-duty trays and sets and are also suitable as container inner wraps.

The Steriking® range of wrapping sheets offers also traditional nonwovens made from virgin wood pulp and polyester fibres. They provide additional alcohol repellency feature and are ideal for combining with ProWraps for laundry and instrument sets. The product range is completed by creped papers, and reinforced grades. Absorbent Steriking® Trayliners are designed for use in surgical instrument trays to absorb excessive condensation during autoclaving.

Chemical indicator products and tapes

The Steriking® Monitoring products provide for improved safety in sterilization processing. The range comprises of B&D test packs, Helix process challenge devices, chemical indicator strips, seal validation test sheets and sterilization tapes.

The unique Steriking® Seal Control sheet is designed for operational qualification of the sealing process. Where medical devices are packed for sterilization the user is responsible for assuring the performance of the final closing seal of a package. The critical parameters of a sealing process are temperature, time and pressure. Under the new standard ISO 11607-2: 2006 the following qualities of the seal should be controlled: intact seal for a specified width, channels or open seals, punctures or tears and material delaminating or splitting. The Seal Control sheet accurately simulates see-through peel packages and provides users a practical tool for validation and documentation processes. It is exclusively designed and patented by Wipak.

Steriking® DCG2 is a new generation of Bowie & Dick test pack for detecting steam penetration and air leaks in porous loads. It features a new minimized size and design. The product meets the requirements of ISO 11140-1 (Class 2 and 6), ISO 11140-4 and EN 867-4. The test pack consists of environment-friendly unbleached filter paper. The heavy-metal-free indicator ink conforms to Class 6 and provides for a permanent colour change.

The new Steriking® HX100 is an ideal process challenge device (PCD) with indicators to simulate a worst-case scenario in the autoclave. It can be used to test the steam penetration in hollow instruments with small lumina. It complies with the EN 867-5 standard and also with the specifications of ISO 11140 currently under preparation. The indicators on the test strips conform to Class 6. The colour change is permanent and the product is supplied with a tape backing for easy attachment to documents prior to filing.

Sealing machines and other accessory products

The Steriking® sealing units provide quick and reliable closing of all heat sealable sterilization packages. They are designed for simple operation and are all-day ready for use. The range offers roto-sealer models with or without printer function. A practical impulse sealer with an integrated roll holder unit is designed for dental practices. All sealers are safety tested and approved by EN and VDE.
