With the aim to eradicate treatable blindness, Lawrence & Mayo has also organized an ‘Eye Donation Camp’ at all its outlets. This initiative will encourage citizens to pledge their eyes for donation post their death. Interested donors can avail the forms on Facebook, malls & theatres and from the Lawrence & Mayo website. ‘Eye Bank Co-ordination & Research Centre’ (EBCRC) and other eye banks will issue Eye donor cards through Lawrence & Mayo to each & every donor. As a goodwill gesture and token of appreciation Lawrence & Mayo will extend 5% discount for 3 years at all Lawrence & Mayo outlets across the country to donors who will pledge to donate their eyes.
Lawrence & Mayo has come up with ‘Old Spectacle Collection Drive’ which will start from October 10, 2011 to January 6, 2012. Interested citizens can donate their old or spare spectacle at any outlet of Lawrence & Mayo. These spectacles will be then mended and given to those in need.
