Cook Medical Japan and Medico’s Hirata Collaborate to Establish New Distribution Model

Cook Japan Incorporated and Medico's Hirata announce their joint commitment to restructure their medical device distribution route as of April 1st 2012 in order to provide more specialized support to Japanese subdealers, medical institutions and physicians.
As of the beginning of April 2012, Cook Japan will strengthen a direct partnership with physicians, sub-dealers and medical institutions in Japan to deliver pioneering technologies in the fields of aortic and gastrointestinal disease treatment. Medico's Hirata will continue to work closely with Cook Japan and focus on delivering the latest and most-effective solutions to Japanese physicians committed to improving patient outcomes in the fields of peripheral vascular disease treatment and interventional radiology.
Kazuhiko Yagome, General Manager of Cook Japan, comments, “Medico's Hirata has been our business partner in providing Cook products for the Japanese market for over 40 years. With some important medical technologies on the horizon, both companies have agreed that it is the right time to enhance the existing partnership.
