Leveraging on the encouraging response and support from the business, government and public sectors in last year’s event, Omanexpo is once again set to hold its MedHealth & Wellness Exhibition & Conference from September 25 to 27 at the Oman International Exhibition Centre.
Now on its third year after its launch in 2009, the international exhibition will target not only the medical sector, but individuals and university students who are seeking to acquire information and health and medical services from the various participating government institutions.  The two-day educational Conference will be held in concurrence with the exhibition.
To date, Omanexpo has enlisted the support of Oman Chamber of Commerce and Industry, Blood Bank, Oman Pharmaceutical Society, The National Association for Cancer Awareness, Private Hospitals Association of Jordan, and KIMS Oman Hospital as Official Medical Services Provider.
MedHealth’s project manager Gaith Aloul said, “We are working closely with the Ministry of Health and its institutions and associations for the Conference in order to provide proper and current information about healthcare issues in Oman and in the region. This will also help support the continuous medical education of healthcare practitioners. On a larger scale, we are encouraged to seek more ways to make our objectives more aligned with the government’s Vision for Health System 2050. ”
He added that they are eyeing increased support from international associations and expecting bigger participation in terms of numbers from international companies. Additionally, the exhibition will feature national pavilions of Germany, Jordan, Turkey, Thailand, India and Pakistan.
This year, in line with its objectives to take its trade shows to a new level, Omanexpo will add an exciting twist to its groundbreaking ceremony.
MedHealth & Wellness is the pioneer and only industry event in Oman for the healthcare sector. It aims to support the government’s Eighth Five-Year Plan to focus on healthcare services and the development of massive healthcare projects all over the Sultanate.
