The American College of Cardiology/American Heart Association Task Force on Practice Guidelines (ACC/AHA) recently released treatment guidelines for the management of high cholesterol. These impactful guidelines have been highly anticipated for more than 10 years. Drug monographs in Lexicomp Online now include key concepts of these guidelines as they apply to the use of the Statin drug class to manage high blood cholesterol.
