Siemens launches new range of Betagard Miniature Circuit Breakers (MCBs) and Distribution Boards (DB

Siemens has launched a range of Miniature Circuit Beakers (MCBs) and Distribution Boards (DBs) under the Betagard range. The products have a lower wattage loss compared to prescribed standards with enhanced aesthetics and user-friendly features. Betagard MCBs and DBs from Siemens are well-known for their quality, reliability and user friendly features.

The range now offers more choices and incorporates aesthetics and design enhancements based on customer feedback.
Among the unique features of MCBs from Siemens is the patented Slide Latch Release (SLR) feature for removal of MCB from DIN rail without use of any tools. The range is unique, presenting a highly effective touch protection against accidental contact, enabling easy firm mounting of bus bar with its wires in front for easy accessibility. Products are designed and manufactured in India in Siemens Aurangabad – a state of art, highly automated factory. These newly introduced products are ROHS (restricted of hazardous substances) compliant.

Siemens Betagard DBs have various features and enhanced aesthetics which make it highly presentable, user-friendly, are easy to install and reduces downtime during maintenance. The range offers options such as Single Door, Double Door and Double Door with Acrylic Window. A range of accessories like Wire Way Boxes and PPI assembly set provides users the flexibility of converting the DBs to offer higher degree of protection and amend configurations at site with ease. In addition, the detachable DIN Rail assembly enables easy mounting of devices, neat wiring and comfort in modification.

DBs are type tested at 3rd Party Government and Neutral Testing laboratories for Ingress protection (IP), Mechanical Impact Index (IK), Short Circuit Withstand Capacity (CSC) and Resistance to corrosion as per IEC 61439 -1. Also series of tests are performed at internal laboratories for achieving conformance to IEC standards.
