MONTREAL, October 20, 2009 – TECSYS Inc. (TSX: TCS), an industry-leading supply chain management software company announced today the successful deployment of its EliteSeries software for healthcare at another major emergency preparedness center in the Northeastern part of the U.S., representing the tenth major emergency preparedness center that is now powered by TECSYS’ software in support of its emergency responses.

Hospitals, clinics and trauma centers are on constant alert to respond immediately and effectively to the enormous adverse event challenges brought about by hurricanes, earthquakes, flu virus outbreaks such as H1N1, chemical disasters, fires and others. Often, the biggest challenge in responding to such adverse events is delivering the right supplies to the right people on-time to save lives and prevent catastrophic fallout.

“TECSYS’ EliteSeries system is a proven product for healthcare. It is a very good fit for hospital supply chain management needs and works hand in-hand with materials management and clinical systems. It is easy-to-use and it is helping us maximize the efficiency and cost savings in delivering on-time quality service for patient care,” stated Mike Switzer, Vice President of Supply Chain, North Mississippi Health Services.

As with the other TECSYS-enabled Emergency Preparedness Centers in the U.S, TECSYS’ EliteSeries for healthcare is now empowering this Northeastern Emergency Preparedness Center to manage its daily supplies; sourcing, handling and on-time delivery of healthcare products and vaccines. They also include emergency shipments such as the H1N1 vaccines from healthcare manufacturers, PODs (Point of Dispense), as well and the CDC (Center for Disease Control).

For over a decade, TECSYS has been providing distribution solutions to the healthcare industry; these include hundreds of hospitals and clinics across the U.S., such as those associated with North Mississippi Health Services, Orlando Health, Mercy ROi, VHA, and Providence Health among  others, as well as Fortune 100 healthcare manufacturers and distributors such as McKesson and Cardinal Health.

“With TECSYS we have a reliable IT infrastructure that can be tapped anytime, from anywhere, securely. The system is always available; it is like “googling” into a supply chain network of applications, giving us the ability to effectively manage and deliver on-time vaccines, anti-bodies, active ingredients and medical/surgical supplies. It is also giving our healthcare customers the peace of mind and visibility of what is happening, where and when—a must in healthcare,” stated Richard Beeny, Chief Executive Officer, LifeScience Logistics, LLC.
