AeroScout reports more than 70 Healthcare deals in first Quarter of 2009-This resulted in over 150%

AeroScout, Inc., the leading provider of Unified Asset Visibility solutions for the healthcare industry, today reported strong growth of its healthcare client base, revenue and solution set in the first quarter of 2009. AeroScout added more than 30 new hospital clients in Q1, and 40 existing healthcare clients made additional purchases of AeroScout solutions. This resulted in over 150% healthcare revenue growth compared to AeroScout’s first quarter of 2008. The company’s continued momentum in the market was also represented in the findings of a study conducted by research firm KLAS. The report, which was published in January 2009, found that AeroScout has the largest market share and the most healthcare organizations looking to it for their RTLS needs.

AeroScout is the largest, fastest-growing vendor in the RTLS space,” said Steve Van Wagenen, research director at KLAS and author of the KLAS Real-Time Location Systems (RTLS) Perception Study 2009. “Responses from the healthcare providers we interviewed suggest that AeroScout has a significant amount of momentum in the market in terms of performance and perception.”

AeroScout’s healthcare solutions enable clients to leverage their existing Wi-Fi networks to track the location, status and condition of assets and people. Healthcare organizations around the world rely on these solutions to improve operational efficiency, regulatory compliance and patient safety and care. AeroScout’s client base includes:

  • Dartmouth-Hitchcock Medical Center in Lebanon, New Hampshire
  • Hôpital St. Louis in Ettelbruck, Luxembourg
  • Seattle Children’s Hospital in Seattle, Washington
  • Seoul St. Mary’s Hospital in Seoul, Korea
  • Yale-New Haven Hospital in New Haven, Connecticut

In the first quarter of 2009, AeroScout extended its healthcare solution set with humidity monitoring and additional temperature sensor tag models for its Condition Monitoring solution. The company also added a range of new healthcare-specific functionality and solutions to its MobileView software. In addition, AeroScout continued to develop valuable integrations to key healthcare products and applications, including VOIP phones, infusion pumps and Enterprise Asset Management applications. For instance, AeroScout announced an integration partnership with St. Croix Systems, an innovative provider of Enterprise Asset Management solutions, to enable joint clients to manage medical devices and equipment more efficiently. These enhancements continue to extend AeroScout’s broad range of healthcare solutions, which include:

  • Asset Management
  • Equipment Maintenance
  • Condition Monitoring (Temperature and Humidity)
  • Patient and Staff Safety
  • Workflow and Resource Management
Following a record year in 2008, we’re pleased to announce continued worldwide growth for our healthcare solutions in 2009,” said Gabi Daniely, vice president of marketing and product strategy. “Our solutions leverage standard Wi-Fi, which allows clients to protect their investments in their existing wireless networks. In these difficult economic times, healthcare organizations are clearly recognizing the importance of reducing capital and operational expenses while continuing to improve patient care – and this is driving rapid adoption of AeroScout’s solutions.

AeroScout has received an exclusive endorsement of its solutions from the American Hospital Association. The company will be showcasing its healthcare solutions in booth #813 at the AAMI 2009 Conference & Expo, held in Baltimore, Maryland, June 6 – 8.
