LifeWatch Services, Inc., a subsidiary of LifeWatch AG, will announce the launch of their remote ECG report TeleViewer™ application for the Apple iPad. The iPad application integrates with and enhances the advanced reporting and workflow management capabilities present in their web based applications for all product offerings. The LifeWatch TeleViewer will also be part of their newly announced series of remote patient monitoring service packages called TeleClinics™. The iPad’s ease-of-use, portability, convenience and multi-touch capabilities are well suited to the timely review of patient remote monitoring reports that provide comprehensive and actionable information for Physicians. These features will help physicians increase their productivity and standard of care through a streamlined work flow and immediate access to critical patient data that enables faster diagnosis and better treatment options, and to this end, helps eliminate unnecessary and costly hospitalizations and readmissions.

LifeWatch’s TeleViewer can help reduce risk of error as patient care is increasingly handed off from one doctor to another. It makes keeping in touch with LifeWatch and the patient a simple and easy task. The physician benefit is increased productivity, streamlined work and data flow making more time for patient care. The TeleViewer takes advantage of the large iPad screen to produce clear and accurate viewing images of both reports and ECG strips.

The new (Atrial Fibrillation) AF TeleClinic that is being announced this week at the Heart Rhythm Society meeting in Denver will be available on the TeleViewer. LifeWatch will provide iPad TeleViewers to physicians enrolled in the AF TeleClinic service. AF TeleClinic is a treatment-focused service package that provides a standard panel of monitoring tests at pre-set intervals and advanced analysis reporting tools for post-procedure AF patients.

LifeWatch is focusing on ability to deliver the remote patient monitoring data to physicians and clinicians anytime, anywhere.

"Bringing the iPad’s innovative multi-touch apps and the e-book reader functionality to the medical community makes it perfect for enabling physicians to review and read reports on their patients being monitored remotely," stated Brent Cohen, CEO ,LifeWatch AG. "Other versions of the TeleClinic using the TeleViewer will be launched in the near future, including TeleClinics for Stroke, Syncope and Obstructive Sleep Apnea management."
