Gambro donates dialysis equipment to help earthquake victims in Sichuan, China

Gambro is extending a helping hand to the victims of the May 12 earthquake in the Sichuan region in China by donating dialysis equipment and necessary disposables to Intensive Care Units as well as Hemodialysis clinics across the affected region.

Gambro is extending a helping hand to the victims of the May 12 earthquake in the Sichuan region in China by donating dialysis equipment and necessary disposables to Intensive Care Units as well as Hemodialysis clinics across the affected region.

Gambro has donated USD 1.0 million worth of products to help save lives in the earthquake affected areas in the Sichuan province. Within days after the earthquake, Gambro China has delivered the equipment and disposables to the critical hospitals in Chengdu, Degang, Mianyang and Guanyuan areas where the earthquake hit. A team of experienced Gambro trainers and application support personnel have flown to the affected hospitals to provide on-site support and training to the local medical staff.  In spite of the continuing tremors, Gambro team are working hand-in-hand with the local medical staff at West China University Hospital, PLA General Hospital, and Sichuan Provincial People’s Hospital to respond to patients’ needs.  

In Asia Pacific also Gambro employees initiated local efforts to collect donations for the victims, while Gambro employees throughout the world have also pledged their support through their local Red Cross and other charitable organizations.
