Optima Pharma focused on the virtual presentation of new technologies at Interphex 2019. The trade show in New York is one of the most important events for decision-makers in the pharmaceutical and biotech industries on the American continent. After winning the ICE Award at ICE Europe, Optima has won another trade show prize.
The jury honored the DECOpulse® decontamination technology by Metall+Plastic with the Biotech Innovation Award. Metall+Plastic belongs to the Optima Group. This was a good end to a successful trade show: the Optima booth received a very large number of visitors. Important key and prospective customers came to the booth and experienced turnkey systems up close on a virtual reality screen.
“Interphex is a very important trade show for Optima Pharma. We are more than happy with how it went,” reports Ulrich Unterriker, Managing Director of Optima Corporation, the American subsidiary of the Optima Group. “We are, of course, particularly pleased about the Biotech Innovation Award,” says Unterriker. The trade show prize commends exhibiting companies whose products not only fulfill the current demands of the industry, but also surpass former standards and in this way make pharmaceutical processes simpler and more seamless for the user.

Metall+Plastic, an Optima Group company, developed the groundbreaking technology. It allows the duration of the overall contamination cycle to be halved and reduces the exposure of materials, active ingredients, and products to H2O2.
<strong>Virtual reality enables people to experience pharmaceutical systems
</strong>The technology exhibited was met with great interest from visitors to the trade show. Besides the highly flexible OPTIMA MultiUse systems for small batch sizes and a variety of container types, Optima experts introduced the CSPE process. For some time now, the company has been using digital engineering technologies like these to minimize the time from when an order is placed through to when production gets under way. Optima presented these and other current topics to visitors using a virtual reality screen, which came across very well.
Experts from Optima Pharma from Schwaebisch Hall (Germany), as well as from Optima’s subsidiary in Green Bay (Wisconsin, US) were present at Interphex.
