Research has demonstrated that clinical practice guidelines (CPGs) are truly major and effective tools in the practice of delivering evidence-based medicine to achieve effectiveness of better patient outcomes and safer care. They are required to be used in all JCI accreditation programs. Yet despite its value, CPGs are not always followed by physicians due to various reasons.
