In the mid-eighties, the company set a decisive impulse in motion with the pioneering invention of the world’s first evacuated blood collection made out of PET. Over the past 20 years, the VACUETTE® system has changed the market. Specimen collection is simpler yet safer.

The optimally coordinated VACUETTE® range products provide a threefold safety advantage for medical staff: guaranteed safety in venipuncture, guaranteed application safety due to improved hygiene when opening the tube as well as reliable analysis results.

By using VACUETTE® Safety Products, needlestick injuries and occupational hazards such as HIV as well as Hepatitis B or C can be virtually eliminated. Newly developed product solutions such as the VACUETTE® QUICKSHIELD Safety Tube Holder or the VACUETTE® PREMIUM Tube with Safety Twist Cap reduce the risk of injury or contamination to an absolute minimum, allowing for easy and efficient specimen collection routine.

  VACUETTE® PLASTIC SPECIMEN COLLECTION TUBES

The VACUETTE® tubes are as clear as glass yet virtually unbreakable; in addition they are very lightweight, making storage and transportation easier, as well as saving on disposal costs. Furthermore, incineration of PET leaves virtually no residue.

MINICOLLECT® CAPILLARY BLOOD COLLECTION SYSTEM

The MiniCollect® capillary blood collection system is especially for neonates and infants. The closed system prevents contact with blood. Due to the unique Cross-Cuts cap system it is not necessary to open tubes. Available with safety lancets, funnel and capillaries.
VACUETTE® SAFETY PRODUCTS
  1. VACUETTE® Safety Blood Collection Sets are available in a variety of versions: with / without Luer Adapter / Tube Holder, as well as with a range of tube lengths. All sets are single-packed and equipped with a safety mechanism that securely encloses the needle after blood collection.
  2. VACUETTE® QUICKSHIELD Safety Tube Holders stand out largely due to their simple handling. Directly after blood collection, the needle is enclosed safely within the protective sleeve with the aid of a stable support.
VACUETTE® SPECIMEN COLLECTION ACCESSORIES

Greiner Bio-One can supply all products required for the complete specimen collection procedure; needles, sharps disposal containers, tourniquets, etc. as well as transport containers for the safe transport of specimen material.		  
URINALYSIS SYSTEM

All products required for urinalysis, from collection to analysis in the laboratory are available from GBO – urine test strips, broad range of tubes, urine beakers and 24-hour urine container.
  
AUTOMATIC ESR ANALYSERS

In addition to the automatic urine analyser, GBO also offers a range of automated ESR analysers, available in three versions to suit every requirement, whether in the doctor's office or in a busy hospital ward.
  
DECAPPER INSTRUMENTS

Three automatic decappers are available. The UNICAP can be used to decap both 13mm and 16mm tubes at the same time (100mm in length). There is also the decapper VACUETTEŽ 13 for all types of 13mm tubes and the VACUETTEŽ 16.
