Health system is first to commercially deploy Claire, the only FDA-approved, AI-enabled imaging device for margin assessment during breast-conserving surgery in the U.S.

Claire is designed to enhance surgeons’ ability to detect difficult-to-see cancer – far beyond what’s visible to the naked eye – in real-time in the OR

a commercial-stage medical technology company, today announced that Intermountain Health, the largest nonprofit health system in the Mountain West region, has become the first health system in the U.S. to commercially deploy Perimeter’s Claire OCT System™, the only FDA-approved imaging device that uses AI during breast cancer surgery to help surgeons see microscopic tissue structures – where cancer can be difficult to detect – in real-time, for margin assessment. The stakes are significant: about one in five patients needs follow-up breast cancer surgeries because cancer wasn’t detected in the operating room the first time.1

“Every breast surgeon wants to give their patient the best possible chance of completing treatment in a single surgery, but microscopic cancer can be difficult to identify in the operating room,” said Dr. Teresa Reading, a breast surgeon at Intermountain Health LDS Hospital in Salt Lake City. “Claire was incredibly simple to incorporate into my workflow. The AI quickly directed my attention to specific areas of concern, giving me an additional set of trained eyes and more information to guide my decisions during these procedures.”

Surgeons performing breast-conserving surgery have long faced a difficult challenge: remove too little tissue and risk leaving undetected cancer behind, or remove too much and potentially affect cosmetic results. Claire addresses that challenge through real-time visualization of tissue suspicious for disease, with AI identifying areas of concern in the operating room to help surgeons make more informed decisions while the patient is still in surgery.

Claire builds on Perimeter’s legacy S-Series OCT platform, which was cleared by the FDA for general tissue imaging and uses optical coherence tomography, a light-based imaging technology used in ophthalmology and cardiology. The OCT provides real-time, cellular-level visualization of tissue, while the AI available in Claire sifts through the images generated during surgery to flag areas of concern.

“Reducing unnecessary repeat surgeries is a priority for Intermountain Health because every additional procedure places a burden on patients, families, surgeons, and the healthcare system overall,” said Phillip Wood, Executive Program Director, Intermountain Ventures, Intermountain Health. “Claire gives our surgical teams new information at the point of care, when it has the greatest potential to influence the course of treatment. As the first health system to commercially deploy this technology, we look forward to building on our partnership with Perimeter and to demonstrate how AI can be responsibly integrated into surgical care.”

For Perimeter, the Intermountain milestone marks the movement of Claire from clinical trial to clinical practice. Claire is currently deployed at LDS Hospital and American Fork Hospital as part of Intermountain Health’s systemwide agreement with Perimeter.

“The first deployment of Claire is a defining moment for Perimeter and for the use of AI in cancer surgery as a whole,” said Perimeter CEO Adrian Mendes. “For the first time, a U.S. health system is commercially deploying FDA-approved, AI-enabled imaging inside the operating room to help surgeons assess breast tissue while the patient is still in surgery. Intermountain is helping move this technology from clinical evidence into everyday care, creating a new opportunity to address one of the most persistent challenges in breast-conserving surgery and give more patients the best possible chance of avoiding additional procedures.”

The UK’s leading lighting specification event brings together hundreds of brands, inspiring content and the people shaping the future of lighting – with free registration now open.

LiGHT 26, the UK’s only trade show dedicated to high-end lighting specification, returns to the Business Design Centre in Islington, London, on the 18th and 19th of November 2026, bringing together the lighting and design community for two days of product discovery, expert insight and valuable industry connection.

Whether specifying an upcoming project, searching for new suppliers, discovering the latest technologies or simply looking to stay ahead of emerging trends, LiGHT 26 provides a unique opportunity to explore the very best of the lighting industry – all under one roof.

Since launching in 2022, LiGHT has quickly established itself as a key date in the calendar for architects, interior designers, lighting designers, engineers, consultants and specifiers, offering a dedicated platform to discover new products, meet leading manufacturers and connect with the people behind some of the most innovative lighting projects.

For two days, the Business Design Centre will become a hub of creativity, collaboration and conversation, with hundreds of leading architectural and decorative lighting brands showcasing the latest products, technologies and solutions. From cutting-edge lighting systems and controls to decorative fittings, technical innovations and smart building technologies, visitors will have the chance to experience new ideas first-hand and discover products before they are specified on future projects.

Returning for LiGHT 26, the Technical Zone will provide a dedicated area for brands specialising in lighting controls, emergency lighting, OEM components, lamps, gear, connected technologies and more. Reflecting the growing importance of intelligent and integrated lighting solutions, the zone offers visitors the chance to explore the technologies driving the future of sustainable and efficient design.

Beyond the exhibition floor, LiGHT 26 will deliver an inspiring programme of talks and discussions, bringing together influential voices from across the lighting, architecture and design communities. Curated by [d]arc media, the [d]arc thoughts talk programme will explore the latest challenges, opportunities and ideas shaping the future of lighting, with speaker announcements for this and the splinter talks programme in the Associations Lounge to follow.

Adding another creative dimension to the show, planning is already well underway for the LiGHT 26 Art Installation, which will once again bring together lighting, creativity and design to create a memorable centrepiece for visitors to experience during the exhibition. Further details will be revealed in the coming months, with visitors invited to experience this unique feature during the show.

Networking remains at the heart of the LiGHT experience. From conversations with exhibitors and industry experts to informal catch-ups with peers, the event provides the perfect environment to build relationships, exchange ideas and discover new opportunities. The popular late-night drinks reception will also return, offering visitors and exhibitors the chance to continue conversations in a more relaxed social setting after the first day of the show.

LiGHT 26 also marks the first edition of the exhibition under the ownership of Messe Frankfurt UK, following the acquisition of LiGHT Expo London. Now part of Messe Frankfurt’s internationally recognised portfolio, the exhibition will continue to build on the strong foundations established since its launch, while retaining the community-focused identity that has made LiGHT such a valued event within the lighting industry. [d]arc media will continue to support the exhibition through promotional activity and the curation of its content programme.

Simon Albert, CEO of Messe Frankfurt UK, said: “LiGHT has become one of the most important meeting places for the UK lighting specification community, and we’re delighted to welcome the industry back this November. As the first edition under Messe Frankfurt UK, LiGHT 26 will continue to deliver what visitors and exhibitors value most – exceptional brands, inspiring content and meaningful connections – while benefiting from the international reach and expertise of the wider Light + Building portfolio.”

With thousands of professionals expected to attend, LiGHT 26 is set to once again bring together the brands, ideas and individuals shaping the future of lighting. Completely free to attend, it offers an unmissable opportunity to discover new products, gain fresh inspiration and connect with the wider lighting community.

As healthcare organisations scale across geographies and workforce complexity increases, HR systems are evolving from administrative tools into core operational infrastructure. Reflecting this shift, Neuberg Diagnostics, one of India’s leading integrated diagnostics providers across pathology and radiology, has strengthened its workforce operations through a digital HR transformation powered by OfficeNet.

With a workforce of over 7,500 employees across 250+ locations, and expansion across India as well as international markets including Sri Lanka, South Africa, and Dubai, Neuberg Diagnostics has been steadily modernising its people operations to support scale, consistency, and real-time visibility. As the organisation moves towards a projected workforce strength of 10,000 employees, managing multi-location teams, diverse employee categories, and complex compliance requirements has made unified HR infrastructure increasingly critical.

Following the implementation of OfficeNet’s AI-enabled HR ecosystem, Neuberg Diagnostics has achieved a significant operational shift, reducing manual HR tasks by up to 90% while improving process efficiency and workforce visibility across locations. Rather than relying on fragmented systems, the organisation has transitioned towards an integrated, AI-enabled HR framework designed to streamline workforce management across functions.

OfficeNet now serves as the digital backbone for key HR operations, enabling automation-led processes across attendance, payroll, recruitment, and workforce analytics. The platform’s AI-powered attendance system with facial recognition-based check-ins has improved workforce tracking across locations, particularly in diagnostic centres where traditional biometric infrastructure is limited.

In addition, geo-enabled workforce tracking and mobile-first access have strengthened visibility for field-based teams, while automated payroll and compliance workflows have improved accuracy and reduced manual dependencies. The system also leverages AI-driven resume parsing to accelerate hiring cycles and predictive HR dashboards that provide real-time insights into workforce distribution across locations, roles, and business units.

A significant portion of Neuberg Diagnostics’ workforce, nearly 60% operates in field and distributed roles, including doctors, scientists, technicians, and collection agents. For such a structure, real-time coordination and mobility-driven HR processes are critical. OfficeNet’s mobile-enabled ecosystem allows employees to manage attendance, travel, expenses, and incentive claims seamlessly, improving transparency and reducing administrative delays.

Sonali Chowdhry, CEO of OfficeNet, added, “As organisations scale rapidly, HRMS platforms are evolving from administrative systems into integrated operational ecosystems. For dynamic and fast-growing industries such as healthcare and diagnostics, real-time workforce visibility, automation, and process intelligence are becoming critical. We are pleased to support Neuberg Diagnostics with a flexible and scalable platform that simplifies complex workforce operations while enabling smarter and more efficient people management.”

With a growing clientele of over 500 brands, including LG Electronics, Havells, Prince Pipes, Bajaj Auto, JBM Group, LT Foods, Wings Pharma, Patanjali Ayurveda, Vishal Mega Mart, Amber Electronics, ACGL Goa, and ITC Hotels across healthcare, manufacturing, retail, and enterprise sectors, OfficeNet continues to strengthen its position as a trusted HRMS partner for large-scale organisations managing complex and distributed workforce ecosystems.
The post Neuberg Diagnostics Reduces Manual HR Tasks by 90% with OfficeNet’s AI-Driven HR Ecosystem first appeared on HHM Global | B2B Online Platform & Magazine.

InterSystems, a creative data technology provider powering some of the world’s most important applications, today announced the general availability of InterSystems Data Studio™ AI Assistant, a new generative AI-powered extension for InterSystems Data Studio that helps organizations more easily understand, navigate, query, and visualize data through natural language interactions.

As organizations move from AI experimentation to production deployments, many are discovering that the greatest challenge is not the AI model itself, but providing AI systems with access to trusted, current, and business-ready information. Enterprise data is often fragmented across applications, databases, cloud services, files, data warehouses, and departmental silos, making it difficult for users and AI systems to generate reliable insights.

“Organizations are increasingly looking for ways to turn their data into actionable intelligence without adding complexity,” said Scott Gnau, Senior Vice President, Data Platforms at InterSystems. “InterSystems Data Studio AI Assistant brings generative AI directly to a trusted data foundation, enabling users to interact with information more naturally while maintaining the governance, security, and controls enterprises require.”

Unlike AI solutions that require organizations to assemble and maintain multiple tools, InterSystems Data Studio AI Assistant is embedded within the broader InterSystems Data Studio platform. This enables organizations to combine AI capabilities with a common, integrated data layer that supports consistent access to trusted information across users, applications, analytics platforms, and AI systems.

Built as an optional extension for InterSystems Data Studio and available as a fully managed service, AI Assistant provides interactive assistants and agents that help users explore both structured and unstructured data, discover available information assets, generate visualizations, and accelerate data analysis. The solution includes out-of-the-box agents as well as a flexible multi-agent framework that enables organizations to create custom assistants tailored to specific business requirements.

The acceleration of decentralized healthcare and the increasing complexity of chronic disease management are driving a significant shift in how clinical data is shared across the care continuum. As multidisciplinary teams face growing imaging volumes and the need for rapid consultation, the demand for interoperable, hardware-independent software solutions has reached a critical point. In response to these evolving clinical requirements, GE HealthCare has introduced MIM Anyware, a new remote access platform for imaging data. This browser-based solution is designed to provide secure, healthcare system-controlled access to imaging data without the need for local software installations, effectively decoupling advanced diagnostic tools from the traditional physical workstation.

The platform is engineered to facilitate real-time collaboration among various clinical specialists, including physicians, physicists, and dosimetrists. By allowing multiple authorized users to join the same MIM session simultaneously, the technology enables teams to perform routine clinical processing, review registrations, and manage dosage workflows together in a virtual environment. This capability is particularly vital in cancer care, where complex decision-making processes often require immediate input from across different departments. GE HealthCare notes that the solution supports the entire oncology workflow, ranging from initial consultations and referrals to medical education. By integrating the convenience of shared document technology into a clinical setting, the remote access platform aims to streamline the path from diagnosis to treatment.

Redefining Clinical Engagement through Virtual Environments

The development of MIM Anyware reflects a broader strategy to modernize how clinicians engage with medical imaging data. By hosting analysis tools directly within a web browser, the platform allows for seamless workflow deployment regardless of a clinician’s physical location. J. Anders, GM of MIM at GE HealthCare, emphasized that research consistently highlights the importance of multidisciplinary collaboration in delivering patient-centered care. “That’s why we designed MIM Anyware to redefine how clinicians engage with medical imaging data in virtual environments. By enabling seamless access to imaging data and MIM’s powerful analysis tools directly through a web browser, we’re helping clinicians stay focused on what matters most: patient care,” Anders stated.

From a clinical perspective, the ability to share data securely with external collaborators is seen as a major operational advantage. Jérémy Godart, a medical physicist at Erasmus MC, noted that care teams are facing increasingly complex patient needs that require input beyond a single organization. “Remote access platforms like MIM Anyware can help healthcare systems securely share imaging data with external collaborators, making it easier to seek expert input and support multidisciplinary consultation beyond a single organization. This can also create educational opportunities for medical students to explore, discuss and learn from real clinical cases,” Godart explained. This emphasis on accessibility and education suggests that the impact of the platform may extend into the academic and research sectors of healthcare.

Strategic Expansion of the MIM Software Portfolio

The introduction of MIM Anyware marks the latest addition to GE HealthCare’s expanding suite of digital solutions following its 2024 acquisition of the AI-based software developer. Since the acquisition, the company has aggressively scaled its MIM offerings to target specific clinical specialties. In 2024, GE HealthCare introduced a specialized MIM solution for prostate care, which was followed by the unveiling of the MIM Encore platform last year. More recently, the company received FDA 510(k) clearance for its MIM Contour ProtégéAI+ 2.0 software, signaling a continued commitment to integrating artificial intelligence into the oncology workflow.

This consistent rollout of new applications demonstrates a long-term investment in software-driven clinical excellence. By centralizing these diverse tools under a single, remotely accessible ecosystem, GE HealthCare is positioning itself to address the logistical challenges of modern hospital systems. The goal is to maximize the utility of imaging data while reducing the technical barriers that often slow down clinical decision-making. As imaging volumes continue to rise globally, the shift toward browser-based, collaborative platforms will likely become a standard requirement for health systems aiming to improve operational efficiency and patient outcomes in complex care environments.
The post GE HealthCare Launches Web-Based Imaging Platform to Enhance Multidisciplinary Collaboration first appeared on HHM Global | B2B Online Platform & Magazine.

The strategic landscape of American healthcare infrastructure is increasingly being defined by multi-year technology modernizations and deep-integrated vendor relationships. In a significant move within the New York regional market, Catholic Health and GE HealthCare have announced the launch of a 10-year Care Alliance partnership valued at approximately $500 million. This agreement represents one of the largest strategic collaborations between a major U.S. health system and a technology provider to date, focusing on the deployment of advanced imaging, precision diagnostics, and artificial intelligence (AI) capabilities. Spanning more than 40 clinical locations across Long Island, the deal encompasses equipment procurement, cloud-based digital solutions, and a comprehensive service model designed to enhance operational efficiency and clinical outcomes.

Under the terms of the agreement, more than 1,300 pieces of medical technology will be integrated into Catholic Health’s hospitals and ambulatory centers. This modernization effort is targeted at several high-volume service lines, including cardiology, oncology, neurology, and women’s health. Approximately 50% of the planned equipment additions are scheduled to arrive within the first three years of the alliance. This phased rollout includes the installation of advanced MR, CT, and PET technologies equipped with on-device AI solutions, as well as hundreds of ultrasound systems. A unique element of the partnership involves an embedded cardiovascular scientist who will work directly with Catholic Health clinicians to ensure that technology innovation remains closely aligned with frontline patient care needs.

Financial and Operational Modernization

The Care Alliance partnership is structured to provide Catholic Health with significant capital savings compared to traditional equipment purchasing models. By utilizing unitary payments and accelerators, the system intends to reinvest saved resources into further technology modernization and the growth of clinical programs. Beyond simple hardware acquisition, the 10-year agreement includes a comprehensive multivendor service component. This ensures that GE HealthCare manages the maintenance, lifecycle, and fleet management for equipment across all 40+ sites, maximizing uptime and asset utilization. This transition from a traditional transactional model to a service-based alliance is designed to reduce the total cost of ownership while ensuring equipment reliability across the enterprise.

AI Integration and Digital Workflow Optimization

Artificial intelligence and cloud computing form the digital backbone of the new alliance, with a specific focus on easing the cognitive load on clinicians and reducing manual administrative tasks. One of the central digital solutions being implemented is Imaging 360, a cloud-based radiology operations platform. This system unifies radiology workflows and centralizes performance insights, allowing Catholic Health to manage imaging operations across multiple sites with greater consistency. The integration of AI-powered tools is also expected to streamline patient scheduling and monitoring, potentially decreasing the time from diagnostic imaging to the commencement of treatment.

For patients on Long Island, the partnership aims to expand access to specialized services closer to home. Upgraded capabilities in OB/GYN, maternal-infant care, and oncology diagnostics are expected to arrive at flagship locations such as St. Francis Hospital & Heart Center and Good Samaritan University Hospital within the first year. Gary Havican, Interim President and CEO of Catholic Health, noted that the partnership allows physicians to have a “meaningful voice in shaping the future of care,” ensuring that technological innovation is guided by real-world clinical insights. As the alliance progresses, Catholic Health will continue to scale these capabilities across Mercy Hospital, St. Joseph Hospital, St. Catherine of Siena Hospital, and its extensive network of ambulatory sites.
The post Catholic Health and GE HealthCare Ink $500M Strategic Care Alliance first appeared on HHM Global | B2B Online Platform & Magazine.

Artivion has secured FDA premarket approval (PMA) for its AMDS Hybrid Prosthesis, expanding the availability of the device for patients with acute DeBakey Type I aortic dissections accompanied by either clinical or radiographic malperfusion. According to the company, this patient group represents about 60% of all DeBakey Type I aortic dissections, a condition affecting approximately 6,000 people annually in the U.S. Left untreated, the condition carries a mortality rate of roughly 1% per hour, reaching as high as 50% within the first 48 hours. The PMA replaces the device’s previous FDA humanitarian device exemption (HDE), eliminating the need for hospitals to obtain institutional review board (IRB) approval before implantation and allowing faster access to treatment.

Described by Artivion as the world’s first aortic arch remodeling device for treating acute DeBakey Type I aortic dissections, the AMDS Hybrid Prosthesis is designed to reduce the incidence of distal anastomotic new entry (DANE) tears while complementing hemiarch replacement without increasing procedural complexity. The device is deployed during a standard ascending aorta replacement, preserves the native aortic arch and supports minimally invasive reinterventions when required. FDA approval follows results from the PERSEVERE U.S. IDE trial, which reported a 72% reduction in all-cause mortality and a 54% reduction in primary major adverse events at 30 days.

Pat Mackin, chair, president and CEO of Artivion, said: “We are thrilled to receive AMDS PMA approval, as it not only validates the enduring benefits shown in the PERSEVERE clinical data but also removes a barrier to broader adoption by eliminating the IRB requirement that came with the HDE. Having already built commercial and clinical infrastructure during our HDE launch, and with strong reordering momentum among accounts already using AMDS, we expect this PMA to help accelerate adoption of this life saving technology.

“This approval, following our recent acquisition of the PMA-approved NEXUS system and continued clinical trial enrollment progress for ARCEVO LSA, marks another step forward in our vision of Artivion as the only company globally with a complete portfolio of market leading aortic arch solutions. We are deeply grateful to every PERSEVERE investigator and patient who helped make this possible.”
The post Artivion Receives FDA Approval for AMDS Hybrid Prosthesis first appeared on HHM Global | B2B Online Platform & Magazine.
