MEDITECH is continuing to build strong relationships with other HIT vendors and healthcare leaders to advance interoperability. Our commitment is unwavering, as we are actively involved with a number of national organizations, policy meetings, committees, and workgroups in shaping and driving interoperability initiatives.
Most recently, Executive Vice President Hoda Sayed-Friel and I attended the KLAS 2016 Cornerstone Summit (Aug. 24–25) in Utah, to brainstorm ways to establish a long-term roadmap for measuring interoperability progress.
We met with executives from several healthcare provider organizations, leading HIT vendors, and government agencies/associations–including the ONC, CHIME, and AMIA. Together, we connected on the current state of interoperability standards and healthcare IT regulations, and reviewed preliminary results of previously established measurements from the 2015 Keystone Summit.
MEDTECH holds a seat at the front of the EHR table, and it’s an honor to be involved in these discussions on leveraging interoperability for better care nationwide.
