Philips and Bajaj Integrated Health System (BIHS) have entered into a collaboration to establish an integrated connected healthcare delivery network across India, with the initiative designed to link hospitals, clinics, ambulatory services and home care through a unified digital infrastructure. Under the arrangement, Philips will deploy its IntelliBridge Enterprise platform to facilitate seamless exchange of patient information across the BIHS ecosystem. The first network is expected to become operational in 2026, with additional expansion planned in major cities over the coming years. This partnership between Philips and BIHS aims to support a more coordinated approach to healthcare delivery by enabling continuous access to patient information across care settings.
Serving as an interoperability platform, IntelliBridge Enterprise connects medical devices and hospital information systems to provide authorised healthcare professionals with a consolidated view of patient data. By allowing information to move smoothly between home care, clinics, ambulatory services and hospitals, the platform is intended to support faster clinical decision-making, minimise duplication of records, streamline care transitions and enhance coordination throughout a patient’s treatment journey. The project will also represent the first global deployment of Philips’ IntelliBridge Enterprise 3.0 Enterprise Cloud platform, making BIHS the first healthcare network worldwide to implement the latest cloud-based version of the technology.
Commenting on the collaboration, Bharath Sesha, Managing Director, Philips Indian Subcontinent, said, “Through our IntelliBridge Enterprise platform, we are enabling an integrated flow of patient information across the BIHS network, supporting better clinical decisions and improving efficiency.”
Nirav Bajaj, CEO and Managing Director, Bajaj Integrated Health System, said, “As we build out our network, the focus is on ensuring that care is integrated from the start, so that whether a patient enters through a clinic, a hospital or at home, the experience remains connected, coordinated and centred around their needs. Our collaboration with Philips brings in the digital backbone needed to enable seamless data flow across care settings, which is critical to delivering this integrated model.”
Alongside the digital platform, Philips will provide selected medical technologies across the BIHS network. These include the MR BlueSeal helium-free MRI system with Dual AI SmartSpeed and In-Bore Experience, technologies intended to enhance imaging performance, improve patient comfort and support operational sustainability. Through this initiative, Philips and BIHS are also seeking to strengthen healthcare infrastructure while advancing integrated care delivery across the country.
