Research in Motion (RIM) and Vodafone Essar have come out with a new service which is going to make the healthcare serviceseasier. In this venture they are joined by Blackberry, which will provide the requisite handsets for the service.

Going to known as the mobile ECG (electrocardiogram), the service will help the user have ECG with help of smart phones.

These will be known as the eUNO R 10, and also the involvement of Mediline Systems Ltd in Mumbai.

Once the ECG report is taken through the phone handset, it can then be sent to a doctor saving precious time and also money.

But the condition is that the doctor needs to have a Smartphone and a connection of Vodafone.

This service has been brought keeping in mind the huge potential that this pathological service provides.

It was also said that Nanavati Hospital of Mumbai will be the first one to adopt this service. Speaking on the occasion of the launch, Dr. Pavan Kumar, Head of Telemedicine Department Nanavati Hospital said that for a patient with heart diseases, time is of utmost importance. And so this service is going to be of utmost use.
