Radiology publication recognizes Toshiba's Aquilion one dynamic volume CT Scanner  in its First Best-of-the-Best Ranking

The Aquilion® ONE dynamic volume CT system has been named Most Valuable Product in the CT category by rt image magazine. The rt image Most Valuable Product ranking, which is the magazine's first best-of-the-best list for radiology products and services, was voted on by radiologists and rt image readers.

As the world's first dynamic volume CT system, the Aquilion ONE by Toshiba America Medical Systems, Inc., can help physicians reduce diagnosis time for stroke, serious heart conditions and other life-threatening diseases from hours and days to mere minutes. Additionally, the Aquilion ONE has the ability to replace multiple tests and invasive procedures, helping lower healthcare costs and radiation exposure.

In the nomination, Dr. Frank J. Rybicki, M.D., Ph.D., director of cardiac CT and vascular CT/MRI and director of Applied Imaging Sciences Laboratory at Brigham and Women's Hospital and associate professor, Harvard Medical School, stated, What makes the Aquilion ONE unique in comparison with traditional CT scanners is that you can actually image more patients in a quicker time period. This is very important when you image the heart because the heart is, in fact, beating. And so, what you can do with the Aquilion ONE that's new and unique is you can image the heart in a single heart beat.
