Fern Nerhood (MBA, MSW) is an independent healthcare analyst, consultant, and researcher with over two decades of specialized experience in healthcare management and data analytics. She spent much of her career at the Rockburn Institute—a Maryland-based healthcare research consultancy focusing on Medicare spending data and hospital value-based performance—where she served as the Director of Administrative Services and Lead Analyst. Following the official closure of the institute, she transitioned to operating as an independent consultant, leveraging her deep expertise in analyzing Center for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) data, hospital performance metrics, and Medicare Spending Per Beneficiary (MSPB) variables to advise healthcare organizations on value-based care and strategic optimization.
