Nizam’s Institute of Medical Sciences (NIMS), formerly Nizam’s Orthopaedic Hospital, is a public hospital located in Hyderabad, Telangana, India. It is an Institute under State Legislature Act. NIMS is recognized by University Grants Commission and Medical Council of India. It is administered under the supervision of Governing Council, Executive Board, Director and other statutory bodies. The Institute serves through 27 Departments. Out of them, 14 are Super Specialties and others are Supporting Departments. The Institute has bed strength of 946, out of which 603 are in General Wards, 166 in private rooms and 177 in emergency and post operative care.
