Canon, world-leader in imaging solutions, will showcase its full portfolio of static and dynamic digital radiography imaging solutions at the European Congress of Radiology (ECR) 2012, Europe’s leading radiology congress in March in Vienna.

Canon announced the acquisition of Delft DI on 2 February 2012 and it is now a Canon group company. Delft DI will be exhibiting a range of innovative medical software solutions for sharing digital images and medical records on Canon’s stand at ECR 2012.
Yoshiyuki Masuko, Senior Director, Medical Imaging Group, Canon Europe says: “Medical Imaging is an important area of growth for Canon, as most recently demonstrated by our acquisition of Delft DI. We are confident that the combination of Canon and Delft technologies will enable us to build on our success, and provide a platform for developing future X-ray modality services.
“Canon has a wide range of medical imaging technology and visitors to ECR will be able to see Canon’s full portfolio which includes innovative and flexible radiography solutions that have a positive impact on the lives of medical staff and patients.”
Attendees will be able to see Canon’s CXDI-80C Wireless flat panel detector , a lightweight, compact size digital radiography system based on the renowned CXDI-70C Wireless system. The CXDI-80C Wireless has an imaging area of 27 x 35 cm, which fits into an incubator X-ray cassette tray and makes it an ideal solution for Neonatal Intensive Care Units (NICU). The CXDI-70C Wireless will also be on display. This popular device, portable and easy to use, was recently deployed at the Universitäts-Kinderspital beider, Basel (UKBB) a University Hospital, which is a centre of excellence for paediatric medicine in Switzerland.
Canon will also showcase the XEPHILIO Mobile C-Arm, an advanced X-ray system designed to optimise usability. The flexible floating mechanism makes it easy to manoeuvre the device and capture images needed for general fluoroscopy and interventional procedures. Canon will be located at Booth number 104, EXPO A, at ECR 2012 in Vienna, 1-5 March 2012.
