FUJIFILM Medical Systems USA announced today that the company has received several rankings in the 2008 Top 20 Best in KLAS Awards: Software & Professional Services report. A provider of a totally integrated, Web-based software package for PACS, RIS, and cardiovascular imaging systems, Fujifilm received the #3 overall ranking on the Overall Software Vendor Rankings list, following Epic and 3M.

“This #3 ranking is proof positive that we’ve successfully transitioned from a radiology PACS vendor to a top tier healthcare software provider,” said Jim Morgan, Fujifilm’s Director of Marketing, Network Systems. “The industry will continue to see the delivery of totally integrated healthcare solutions from Fujifilm as we broaden our portfolio and provide a technology platform second to none,” he said.

The KLAS report reflects the summary of healthcare information technology (HIT) software and professional services performance data as reported by physician offices, clinics, IDNs, inpatient facilities and applicable healthcare agencies. In addition to the #3 overall ranking, Fujifilm Synapse® received the #2 ranking in the radiology PACS report (Acute segment) – up one spot from the previous year – and was also ranked in a number of other categories including Ambulatory RIS (Fujifilm Synapse Information System – Empiric), and Cardiology (Fujifilm ProSolv Cardiovascular).

Fujifilm will be highlighting its full portfolio of healthcare software solutions at the upcoming HIMSS (Healthcare Information Management Systems Society) meeting being held April 4 – 8, 2009, in Chicago. Enhancements to the company’s RIS product will be featured along with Fujifilm’s ability to support all of its software platforms on a VMware virtualized environment. Visit Fujifilm at booth #6823.
