Allscripts and AssistRx plan to deploy a new specialty medication services platform that streamlines the processes related to prescribing, distributing and administering specialty medications. The functionality will integrate into Allscripts electronic health records (EHRs) to provide an efficient and timely workflow that connects prescribers to a network of fulfillment entities and gives patients faster access to their prescribed specialty medications – moving toward the goal of improved population health.
