Memorial Health University Physicians in Savannah, Ga. wrestled with the complex tasks of billing, managing payor reimbursement and collecting patient payments. To meet these challenges while continuing to deliver superior patient care, the practice has partnered with McKesson’s Revenue Management Solutions (RMS) group to handle all facets of its billing and practice management.

John Angstadt, M.D., senior vice president of physician services at Memorial Health said, McKesson’s financial reporting tools will give us access to the data required to make both day-to-day and long-range strategic decisions for the practice. By leveraging McKesson to handle our billing and accounts receivable management, we can focus more of our own personnel and resources on delivering a high-quality patient experience.

The practice will use McKesson’s Horizon Practice Plus™ to manage clinic-based financial and patient information and RelayHealth Ambulatory Claims Manager to automate the claims management process. Together, these solutions drive increased efficiency and streamline revenue cycle processes.
