Power has been restored at West Calcasieu Cameron Hospital (WCCH). However, in collaboration with Entergy, WCCH will remain on generator power for the next couple of days until more areas are added to Entergy’s power grid.

“We are extremely grateful to Entergy and all the electrical crews who have been working tirelessly to restore power to our facility,” said Janie Frugé, CEO of West Calcasieu Cameron Hospital. “While the Entergy power grid may have been down, West Calcasieu Cameron Hospital has remained on uninterrupted generator power and has been able to provide continual healthcare to those in need during and after Hurricane Laura thanks to our incredible Plant Operations team.”

West Calcasieu Cameron Hospital remains committed to providing exceptional patient care to Southwest Louisiana. Currently, WCCH is providing ER, medical-surgical, maternity, and ICU services, as well as the following ancillary services with limited capacity: lab, radiology, pharmacy, and pathology functioning, and continues to add more service line capacity each day.
