Greiner Bio-One is expanding its range of safety products for blood collection

In response to high demand for Greiner Bio-One safety products, in June 2018 the existing range will be joined by the new VACUETTE® SAFETY Winged Set. As always, the aim is to provide functional, user-friendly and patient-friendly product solutions.

Butterfly set for safe blood collection
Each of the VACUETTE® SAFETY Winged Set is equipped with a safety mechanism. For greater flexibility, there are three different options for activating the safety mechanism immedi-ately after blood collection. The clearly audible click confirms that the needle is safely and irreversibly locked in the safety shield. To give the user more choice, the safety blood collection set is available both with and without a pre-assembled blood culture holder. The transparent product design provides optimal blood flow visibility.

Lower risk of needlestick injuries
Around a third of all occupational accidents in healthcare involve needlestick injuries. Nurses are at particular risk of being infected by blood-borne diseases such as hepatitis B, hepatitis C and HIV. It is therefore advisable to use safety products for taking blood samples in order to lower the risk of needlestick injuries.

Your reliable partner
The first VACUETTE® Safety Products were brought onto the market in 2003. The products have been developed and enhanced on an ongoing basis since then. In addition to the estab-lished VACUETTE® Safety Blood Collection Sets, VACUETTE® Safety Needles are also availa-ble, enabling users to select from a wide range to meet their specific needs.
