New Offering Extends the Industry Leading Centricity Enterprise Solution to Small and Mid-Size Hospitals, Natively Supports Double Byte Languages
GE Healthcare, a leading provider of healthcare information technology (IT), launched today its Centricity® Enterprise Global Edition solution, a comprehensive clinical information solution aimed to help improve clinical efficiency and patient care. The new technology, as part of the leading family of enterprise healthcare IT solutions, is showcased at the HIMSS Asia Pac conference in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia from Feb 24 to 27.
GE Healthcare’s Centricity® Enterprise Global Edition offers the right balance of features, power, manageability, and ease-of-use to be a great solution for new greenfield hospitals that want to open their doors as fully digital, paperless operations as well as established hospitals looking to add efficiency, increase patient safety, and share data across the continuum of care. Designed as a mid-size complement to the industry-leading Centricity Enterprise solution that powers the world’s leading healthcare providers such as Mayo Clinic, Centricity Enterprise Global Edition uniquely integrates with hospital medical devices to significantly reduce the workload of today’s busy clinicians, provides a single view to the information needed for effective patient assessment and care, and works directly with a wide range of billing and accounting systems to enable proactive revenue cycle management. Centricity Enterprise Global Edition can be configured to meet the exact needs of each customer, including support for double and triple byte languages that is so important across the Asia Pacific region.
In its first release, the native languages include English, Korean, Simplified Chinese, and Traditional Chinese.
Centricity® Enterprise Global Edition is the next generation development of the Clinical Information Systems from GE Healthcare already installed at many Ministry of Health Hospitals in Malaysia.
The promise of healthcare information technology (HIT) has always been clear – improved patient safety, increased efficiency and lower costs, and ultimately the ability to design care practice based on the irrefutable evidence of clinical data. However, healthcare information systems (HIS) have often forced a significant compromise for caregiver organizations – power and extensibility often came with complicated user interfaces and extremely expensive and long deployment time lines, while simplicity and fast time to deployment often meant significant limits on the ability of the applications to evolve with the organization. Centricity® Enterprise Global Edition was designed from the ground up to eliminate this. Moreover, Centricity® Enterprise Global Edition is part of the GE Healthcare Centricity® Enterprise Product Family, assuring customers of a continuing roadmap of product evolution fueled by one of the largest research and development investments in the history of the healthcare information technology industry.
