96

Alexandria – TRSA is excited to return with its popular production summits and plant tours, offering three regional locations on different dates in order to bring industry-specific information and networking opportunities closer to members. Each TRSA Regional Production Summit will feature the same insightful speakers discussing topics such as safety, quality control, automation, digitalization and technology, and to build engaged employes in the linen, uniform and facility services industry.

2024 was the first year the summits went regional, and attendees found it well worth their time. Net Promoter Scores (NPS) measure an attendee’s willingness to recommend an event, with a score of 50 considered excellent. In 2024, TRSA’s new Regional Production Summits averaged an NPS of 82.

The series kicks off with the West Coast Summit on Jan. 22-23, 2025, at the Embassy Suites Arcadia Pasadena Area in Arcadia, CA. This will be followed by the Midwest Production Summit on March 26-27, 2025, at the Embassy Suites Hotel O’Hare in Rosemont, IL, and the Northeast Production Summit on Oct. 21-22, 2025, at the Doubletree Philadelphia, providing easy access for plants from the Northeast and East Coast.

In a welcome session titled, “The Fabric of Success: How Engaged Employees Drive Business Excellence in Textile Services,” Lisa Ryan, CSP, founder and chief appreciation strategist at Grategy®, will emphasize the importance of an engaged workforce in the linen, uniform and facility services industry. She will share practical strategies for fostering a workplace culture where employees feel valued and motivated, which is crucial for achieving exceptional results and sustaining business growth. By prioritizing employee engagement and retention, organizations can enhance productivity, reduce turnover and cultivate a thriving culture that distinguishes them in the competitive linen, uniform and facility services market.

General sessions across all three regions will cover essential topics, including:

  • The Ten Keys of Linen Quality
  • Tips for Managing Quality Control in Your Plant
  • Safety Awareness and TRSA’s New Safety & Health Certification
  • Automation, Digitalization & Technology from a Suppliers Perspective
  • Facilitated roundtable discussions on regional issues, such as safety, automation and employee engagement

Each summit will conclude with local plant tours. The West Coast tour will feature Magic Laundry Services in Montebello, CA, which opened its first facility in 2004 and expanded with two additional buildings in 2011 and 2018. Together, these plants total 93,000 square feet and produce more than 2.6 million pounds of laundry per week, enhancing their capacity to serve the hospitality industry, including mid-priced hotels, convention hotels, resorts and casinos.

Each of the other summits also will select informative plant tours in the region. Debriefing sessions with plant management and other attendees after the tours will allow for practice comparisons and insights into these efficiently run plants, often regarded as a highlight of the summit.

Registration is now open, and more details can be found at trsa.org/productionsummit.
