No matter what the size of a medical practice or outpatient clinic, physicians, practice managers and healthcare providers must ensure the privacy and security of their patients’ health information. Recognizing small provider organizations may not have the staff or the knowledge to put these safeguards in place, HIMSS and the Medical Group Management Association created the HIMSS Privacy & Security Toolkit for Small Provider Organizations.
