PACSGEAR, the leading provider of document and multimedia connectivity solutions for hospitals and healthcare facilities, announced enhancements to its DICOM CD/DVD burning solution, MediaWriter. The latest software release, MediaWriter 3.0, will be featured in PACSGEAR’s Booth #548 at the AHRA Annual Meeting and Exposition in Las Vegas, Nevada.

New MediaWriter 3.0 enhancements include the capability to burn multi-patient media, create customized media labels, and burn DICOM Structured Reports. The release also includes GEARView, a new medical image and report viewer. Many facilities would like to burn newer DICOM objects to media, such as multiframe video clips, visible light images and structured reports, but do not have an easy way to view them. We developed GEARView to display existing and newer image types. Combining GEARView with MediaWriter gives customers a complete and economical solution to create portable media.
