Wolters Kluwer Health, a leading global provider of information for healthcare professionals and students, announced today that Lexicomp® Online™, its hospital-wide referential drug information solution, has been updated to reflect key concepts from the recent ACC/AHA Blood Cholesterol Guidelines.
The American College of Cardiology/American Heart Association Task Force on Practice Guidelines (ACC/AHA) recently released treatment guidelines for the management of high cholesterol. These impactful guidelines have been highly anticipated for more than 10 years. The following monograph fields were updated to reflect these new guidelines:
- Monitoring Parameters
- Dosage Adjustment for Toxicity
- Clinical Practice Guidelines
“Our reference content team quickly incorporated these new guidelines into our drug monographs in a manner that is truly beneficial for today’s busy clinicians,” stated David Del Toro, Vice President & General Manager, Clinical Drug Information, Wolters Kluwer Health, Clinical Solutions. “This knowledge and response to the industry’s needs is what continues to drive our momentum in U.S. hospitals and healthcare systems, making Wolters Kluwer Health a well-respected and formidable leader in drug information and clinical content.”
