"We strive to continually improve the quality of the service we provide to our customers," said Tom Kirkland, senior vice president of Customer Services, North America, for Philips Healthcare. "This top ranking for patient monitoring customer services is a tribute to Philips service professionals and their dedication to helping our customers deliver the best patient care possible."
In an independent survey by IMV Limited, customers were asked to rate patient monitoring systems manufacturers on a broad range of factors across the product ownership lifecycle. For patient monitoring service and performance, Philips led with 11 top rankings including No. 1 in overall manufacturing satisfaction and No. 1 in probability of purchasing again.
For services, not only did Philips achieve No. 1 ranking in overall service performance, but it received No. 1 in all three modes of providing service: warranty, contract and parts/labor. In addition, equipment performance rankings include No. 1 in systems performance meets expectations, No. 1 in reliability of hardware and No. 1 in reliability of software.
The IMV survey included ratings in the categories of system performance, satisfaction with the manufacturer, satisfaction with field service engineers, service performance, help desk telephone support, remote dial-in diagnostic support, and installation and training.
More than 210,000 of the market-leading Philips IntelliVue patient monitors—featuring sophisticated clinical decision support tools—are in use in healthcare institutions worldwide. In October 2007, Philips introduced a new patient monitor and a new multi-measurement module that demonstrate its commitment to patient care. These new solutions can help clinicians and first responders better focus on treating patients, whether they are using the new IntelliVue X2 while transporting patients through various departments of the hospital for care, or using the IntelliVue MP2 for portable monitoring in the hospital or when responding to an emergency in the field.
