NewYork-Presbyterian Hospital has been recognized as one of the “150 Top Places to Work in Healthcare 2018” by Becker’s Healthcare. This distinguished list highlights hospitals, health systems and healthcare companies that promote diversity within the workforce, employee engagement, and professional growth.

Becker’s Healthcare identified a number of benefits that support the overall health and wellbeing of Hospital employees, including six weeks of paid parental leave for birth, adoption or surrogacy, and assistance with the cost of adoption. NewYork-Presbyterian Hospital supports its employees with a free, confidential well-being coaching program and promotes work-life balance by offering gym membership discounts, on-site day care, and discounted tickets for movies, sports, Broadway shows and museums, Becker’s Healthcare noted.

“Our mission to provide world class, compassionate care to patients would not be possible without our exceptional and devoted staff,” said Dr. Steven J. Corwin, president and CEO of NewYork-Presbyterian. “We are proud to be on this distinguished list of top places to work in healthcare.”

The announcement comes on the heels of NewYork-Presbyterian Hospital recently being honored with the Glassdoor Employees’ Choice Award, which recognizes the Best Places to Work in 2018. In addition, NewYork-Presbyterian Hospital was recognized as one of America’s Best Employers 2017 by Forbes and as one of the 25 Best Large Workplaces in New York as well as one of the Best Companies to Work For in Health Care and Biopharma, both by Fortune’s partner Great Place to Work.

Becker’s Healthcare developed its list based on nominations and editorial research. Organizations cannot pay for inclusion on the list. All of the organizations honored offer benefits and opportunities for employees to build successful careers above and beyond the average health care provider or company.
