In addition, the AMN Team Esperanza Guatemala Mission received a Gold Stevie for Communications or PR Campaign of the Year.
The Stevie Awards recognize and honor the accomplishments and positive contributions of organizations and working professionals worldwide. Women in Business is one of six Stevie Awards programs.
"We are incredibly proud to receive this award," said Julie Fletcher in accepting the awards for AMN at the 12th annual Stevie Awards for Women in Business in New York City on Nov. 13, 2015. "Fifty percent of our C-suite at AMN and 60 percent of our total workforce are women. We are very proud of those facts but also that the quality of our work in the healthcare industry earned these awards that represent the efforts of the entire AMN team."
The AMN Team Esperanza Guatemala Mission is an annual medical and community development event that AMN Healthcare conducts with HELPS International in the impoverished Guatemala highlands.
AMN sponsors about two dozen medical and corporate personnel who take part in building and operating a complete acute care hospital that treats nearly 1,000 patients and also in a community development project that installs safety stoves in homes.
