Keeping a healthy balanced diet is also pertinent for ensuring your body stays strong; that way you can make sure diseases don’t have an easy time getting through your immune system. So what are you waiting for? Let’s dive into the workflow background information and discover how taking preventive action today will lead to better overall health tomorrow!

Understand Your Family’s Medical History

Taking steps to protect your health and the health of your family begins with an honest look at your family’s past medical history. Understanding the genetic and hereditary illnesses in your bloodline can arm you with knowledge for preventive care rather than reactive treatment. Maybe you want to make the frequency of checkups with your physician more regular or perhaps you should take a closer look at the ingredients in the food you consume. Knowing your family’s medical background can help guide you down the path of greater health and well-being. It’s important to recall as much information as you possibly can—from digging into archives like old letters and diaries, calling relatives to ask firsthand details, or consulting primary care physicians who have seen generations in your family.

Make Healthy Eating Habits a Priority

Eating healthy is one of the most important steps you can take to stay healthy. Our bodies are meant to get nourishment from a balanced diet, so ensuring that you are eating enough nutrients and vitamins is essential. Making healthy eating habits a priority means making small changes in your everyday meals that can really add up over time – such as swapping out sugary snacks for healthier options like fruits and veggies, or opting for whole wheat bread instead of white. Additionally, don’t be afraid to experiment with different spices, herbs, and seasonings to make foods even more exciting! This way you’ll keep things interesting and make sure that you’re getting enough nutrients in your diet each day.

Exercise Regularly and Get Enough Sleep

Exercise is one of the most important proactive steps you can take toward preventing health problems. Not only does it reduce your overall stress by flooding your body with endorphins, but it also increases cardiovascular health, strengthens muscles, and promotes coordination and balance. Regular exercise not only boosts our physical well-being but can even have a positive impact on our mental health. But this doesn’t mean you have to hit the gym for hours every day – anything from a 20-minute walk to yoga or dancing can make all the difference! And adding in plenty of sleep will both benefit your physical recovery from exercising and give you a better feeling of well-being overall; aim for 7-9 hours each night for optimum results.

Avoid Dangerous Activities and Unhealthy Substances

When it comes to maintaining good health, avoidance is the best medicine. To keep your body running at its best and prevent any potential health problems in the future, it’s important to avoid dangerous activities as much as possible and steer clear of unhealthy substances. These activities can range from something small like not getting enough sleep or exercising too strenuously, to something much bigger like smoking cigarettes or drinking too much alcohol. Substances such as these should be avoided completely since they can have detrimental effects on your health, both short-term and long-term.

Schedule Regular Health Check-Ups with Your Doctor

It’s essential to prioritize your health and one of the best ways to do this is by scheduling regular health check-ups with your doctor. Taking proactive steps to ensure you’re in optimal health can head off any future issues that may come up and address current medical concerns. A well-rounded visit should include talking with your doctor about prevention strategies – exercise plans, diet advice, helpful supplements, and lifestyle modifications that may benefit you. When it comes to lifelong health and well-being, regular check-ups are a must – so book an appointment today!

Taking the above steps and proactively working to prevent health problems is important. Even if there are medical conditions in your family history, following the proactive steps outlined can still have a positive outcome and lower your risk of developing any serious illnesses. Ultimately, taking care of your health is an ongoing endeavor that requires dedication and focus. Regular checkups with your doctor as well as adjustments to diet, exercise regimens, and lifestyle habits can help you identify potential threats early on.

Try These 6 Smart Advice And Stay Sober

Do you know that the battle against addiction is never over? It’s a constant struggle to stay sober and healthy. Even if you achieved sobriety once, it could be taken away from you in an instant without following the right habits. One of those habits is regularly following smart advice for long-term sobriety: Following these steps—examining potential triggers, recognizing how alcohol affects certain emotions, creating clear boundaries, owning your choices, and being honest with yourself—are essential pieces for building a strong foundation for long-term success and happiness.

Fortunately for us all, there are countless resources out there to help us learn more about our disease and better understand what works best according to our individual circumstances. Today we will discuss 6 critical aspects of staying sober. To review your own beliefs, recognize how addiction might have previously served you unhelpfully while understanding the impact it has on particular emotions; establishing fences around variables that may become instigators; addressing any deprivation or unhappiness in healthier ways; and taking responsibility.

Recognize your triggers

Staying sober is an ongoing journey, made easier with the ability to recognize your personal triggers and take steps to limit exposure. After all, by limiting exposure to the things that make it most difficult for you to stay on track, you’re taking a powerful action towards sobriety. Start by writing down any situations or behaviors that have caused you to indulge in past temptations so you can get a clear idea of what works best for you. From there, brainstorm ways to create distance between yourself and your triggers.

Seek professional help if needed

When it comes to sobriety, everyone’s journey is different. If you’re having difficulty staying sober on your own, professional help can be a game-changer in helping you stay committed to the process. Fortunately, there are many resources available—such as medical professionals specializing in addiction and recovery, mental health therapists, and support groups like Alcoholics Anonymous—to give you the extra tools and guidance you need. Don’t be afraid to speak up and ask for help; it could be the first step towards finding lasting sobriety. You can click here if you want more info, or do some research online yourself. Keep in mind: no matter how bad you think your condition is, there’s always hope.

Make a plan

When faced with the urge to indulge, especially during difficult times, it’s important to have a plan that you can turn to for help. Make sure you have identified activities, friends, and family members, or other supports that can provide you with strong distraction from the urge. These could include things like speaking to a trusted peer or professional, participating in an online support group, finding an engaging activity such as a hobby or sport, going for a walk in nature, cooking a healthy meal, or exercising.

Build up a strong support system

Establishing a supportive network of friends and family is absolutely essential to long-term sobriety. Finding the right people who can provide encouragement, understanding, and advice can be a daunting task, but it is so worthwhile! Friends and family members may be able to offer resources such as sober housing, help to find an addiction counselor, or support groups where you can find people with shared experiences. They also play an important role in offering additional affirmation and letting you know that you are not alone in this journey.

Find healthy ways to cope

In these trying times, managing the stresses and anxieties of life can be overwhelming. Thankfully, there are simple strategies we can use to help us cope. Exercise is a great way to relax both your body and mind in times of difficulty. Yoga or light stretching can reduce both physical and mental tension while running or lifting weights can be a valuable release for built-up stress. Meditation is another great form of self-care practice.

Connect with other people in recovery

Connecting with others in recovery is an incredibly powerful tool for staying sober. There are many wonderful 12-step support groups such as Alcoholics Anonymous that offer vital strength and healing. Through these groups, you can find a fellowship of people who will understand your pain and help you on your journey. It’s important to have a safe place to share your feelings and experiences with people who will not judge or shame you. With peer support, you can foster the faith that propels you forward into sobriety.

Staying sober is a difficult endeavor, but it can be done with hard work and dedication. By recognizing your triggers and having a plan in place for dealing with them, building up a strong support system of friends and family, finding healthy ways to cope with stress and anxiety, seeking professional help if needed, and connecting with other people in recovery, you will have all the tools you need to stay sober. Such determination and courage can lead to remarkable results that not only keep your life on track but also guide you towards fulfilling all your dreams. Yes, sobriety can be hard work – but if you take the right steps, success is within reach.

Staying Healthy When You’re Older – A Senior Self-Care Guide

As you reach a new stage of life, it is essential to prioritize taking care of yourself through healthy habits and positive lifestyle choices. As an elderly adult – or someone who knows and loves one – you may be wondering how you can best stay in control of your health when faced with the challenges that come along with growing older. To help make this easier, we’ve put together a senior self-care guide full of tips on staying healthy! Whether you’re worried about nutrition, activity levels, or managing physical symptoms such as joint pain or fatigue, our guide provides advice on ways to safely maintain your wellness and keep feeling great as you age. Read on for more information about staying healthy when you’re older!

Consult with Your Doctor/Go to Regular Checkups

For seniors, the process of proactively staying healthy begins with seeking regular medical consultation. Whether you need a general care physician in Perth, or a specialist, like a urologist in Warragul, it is important to make sure that your doctor is closely monitoring any changes to your health. Regular checkups can help identify and address any potential illnesses before they become serious issues. It also ensures that you are up-to-date on any routine tests and vaccinations. Furthermore, doctors can also provide helpful advice on coping mechanisms that are tailored to your individual needs, such as a diet plan or exercise regimen. Consulting with your doctor is one of the numerous ways you can stay healthy so be sure to incorporate it into your self-care guide!

Get Plenty of Sleep

Sleep plays an integral role in managing our health and well-being, especially as we age. That’s why it’s no surprise that making sure to get enough restful sleep is cornered at the top of any good senior self-care guide on staying healthy. After a long day, aim to get 7 to 8 hours of quality sleep every night – it’ll go a long way towards promoting better physical and mental functioning for seniors. Ask your doctor about any sleep aid or lifestyle changes that may help you if you have difficulty falling or staying asleep. With regular restorative sleep, you’ll be able to enjoy life with more vigor and vitality!

Exercise Regularly

Staying healthy can be daunting in our golden years, but exercising is an important tool that can make all the difference! Maintaining a regular workout schedule helps us keep our physical strength and balance, and promotes healthier aging. Studies have even demonstrated that regular exercise may slow or reduce age-related decline in both cognition and function. As seniors, it’s important to find an enjoyable form of exercise that suits our lifestyle and energy levels. Whether it’s walking around the block or taking up swimming or dancing, it’s always good to keep moving – regularly exercising not only keeps our bodies strong but also keeps our minds sharp and focused!

Eat Well

Eating a balanced diet of whole foods that are rich in vitamins, minerals, and other nutrients will help keep you feeling energetic, alert, and well able to take on whatever the day throws at you! A healthy diet should include lots of fresh fruits and vegetables, grains, lean proteins like fish and poultry, dairy products like low-fat yogurt and aged cheese, plus lots of water. If you’re having trouble eating right as a senior or if you’re dealing with physical limitations or adjusting to changing nutritional needs over time, it’s important to talk to your doctor or registered dietitian about finding easy meal ideas that meet your individual needs.

Stay Hydrated

Staying hydrated keeps your body fluids balanced, which helps your organs operate more efficiently. Those who are dehydrated often feel tired and sluggish, and a lack of hydration can lead to chronic abilities such as decreased mental and physical functioning. To ensure you’re staying properly hydrated, carry a reusable water bottle with you throughout the day and fill it up when possible. You should also keep an eye out for signs of dehydration in yourself; these could include a dry mouth, dark urine, or feeling dizzy or lightheaded. If you’re not able to drink enough due to difficulty swallowing or other issues, try adding superfoods such as cucumber or celery to your diet – they have an incredibly high water content!. In addition, you may consider exploring additional hydration treatments, like Myers IV in New Jersey, especially if you find it challenging to meet your daily fluid intake through conventional means. These treatments involve intravenous administration of a balanced solution containing essential nutrients and electrolytes, providing a quick and effective way to rehydrate and revitalize your system. So, it could be beneficial for maintaining optimal fluid levels in your body.

Practice Mindfulness

It involves paying attention to one’s thoughts, feelings, and bodily sensations in the present moment with acceptance and non-judgmental awareness. The practice of mindfulness can help to reduce stress, foster healthy relationships with ourselves and our environment, and cultivate greater physical and mental well-being. Start your mindfulness journey today by setting aside some time to sit quietly and observe your thoughts as they come and go without trying to change or control anything. You might want to focus on your breath or any bodily sensations; simply allow your awareness to settle and notice what comes up.

Crafting a successful, holistic senior self-care guide on staying healthy is an essential task all seniors should undertake. By consulting with your doctor, getting plenty of sleep, exercising regularly, eating well, staying hydrated, and practicing mindfulness, you are taking actionable steps to care for yourself and improve your overall health. Not only that but by doing so you’ll provide yourself with the peace of mind of knowing that you’re keeping fit and active – both mentally and physically. It’s never too late to start incorporating these tips into your daily routine – do it for yourself today!

Here Is All You Need to Know about How to Delay Menstruation

Here Is All You Need to Know about How to Delay Menstruation

There are many reasons why women are turning to methods to delay their period. These methods are becoming more sophisticated each time, although some women still prefer natural methods. Whether it is because she plans to go on vacation, camping, or because she is about to get married and go on her honeymoon, it is likely that she wants to try some method to delay her period and enjoy herself without annoying complications.

Here you will be able to find out which are the preferred and most popular methods among women and which are the methods that are gaining more and more recognition due to their effectiveness and few side effects. Get to know each of these methods better, so you can make a more appropriate choice that suits your needs.

What Types of Hormonal Contraceptives Can Be Used to Delay Menstruation?

There are contraceptives with which you can delay your period, such as the vaginal ring and the patches or Wisp products. They work under the same logic as oral contraceptives. They are hormonal, so you can modify their days of use depending on the date you need the bleeding to arrive; this means that you are going to change the week in which you rest from them, as happens with the pills.

The most crucial part that you must remember always is to take the indicated breaks during each method, this will keep the cycle regulated, and the purpose of contraception will not have, in most cases, any failure. Other contraceptive methods, such as injections and the intrauterine device, reduce and even eliminate menstruation, and according to experts, 50% of women stop menstruating after a year of using these methods.

Other Methods to Delay Menstruation

If you do not use a contraceptive method and want to know how to delay your period, you can try the popular customs but be careful! They can directly affect your period in a negative way. Since these methods are part of myths transmitted from generation to generation, it is possible that they are not as good as people have told you. Therefore, it is better to consult a professional. When it comes to health, what worked for another woman probably will not work for you.

Some natural methods that worked for our grandmothers and many women today are apple cider vinegar, lemon, and infusions of ginger, cinnamon, and parsley, among others. However, their effectiveness has not been proven by scientists.

Do Home Remedies Work to Delay Menstruation?

All organisms react in different ways, and that is why it is so important to consult a professional first because you will not know for yourself what type of ingredients your body will receive well. There is no definitive answer; the home remedies may work or not. The truth is that nature is incredible, and the effects these ingredients have on our bodies are undeniable. For a reason, our grandparents cured their flu with eucalyptus or gargling with ginger.

The list could go on because we know that years ago, the huge portfolio of medicines and technology we have now, did not exist since nature supplied all needs. The incidence of home remedies in our body is undeniable, but we cannot verify or assure you that they will work 100%.

Benefits of Delaying the Period

If you do not like how you feel during your period because the flow is very abundant, you have strong cramps, and in general, the discomfort overcomes you, delaying your period will be a great advantage. Whether it is for an event or because you simply do not want to have days of menstruation. You can postpone it with birth control pills, and there will be no side effects. The only thing you have to keep in mind is to be very organized and not change the bleeding date frequently.

Dangers of Delaying the Period

As long as you do it under medical supervision, delaying your period should not pose any danger. Yes, there may be some discomforts, such as intermenstrual bleeding, but this is normal when you delay your period with contraceptives. The idea is that if you are going to move the period date using contraceptives, do not do it every month on a different date but do it on the same date or avoid it completely. You can do this by taking the pills continuously without resting for seven days. Your body must have a fixed dynamic; otherwise, intermenstrual bleeding will be uncontrolled.

Also, by routinely postponing your period to different dates, it will be more difficult for you to keep track of when your period is due, and this will make it more difficult for you to notice when you are late. You must be very attentive and establish a schedule to keep your cycle under control

Is the Delay of Menstruation Safe for All Women?

If you are looking for the safest way to delay your period, you can try hormonal contraceptives since they are one of the preferred methods recommended by gynecologists. It has not been proven that there is any risk to health, which is a great advantage.

The most crucial part of this process is to do it taking into account all the recommendations. It will never be enough to remember that in the first place, you need to talk to your gynecologist about this issue, listen to their recommendations and ask them any questions you have about how your body works.

Conclusion

There is nothing more disappointing than realizing that the first day of your period will be your wedding day or the week of a fabulous romantic vacation. Do not let menstruation ruin your fun, and if you think of looking for a way to delay menstruation, here you will have already learned how to do it. Do not forget to visit your gynecologist to hear what recommendations they can give you so you can find the safest and most effective strategy.

Study Finds Healthcare Providers Looking to Outsource Revenue Cycle Management Processes

A recent study published by management consulting firm CWH Advisors and sponsored by CareCredit, a Synchrony (NYSE:SYF) solution, found healthcare providers are expressing significant interest in outsourcing their revenue cycle management (RCM) processes. According to the study, 61% of providers expect to make greater use of external parties for offering patient financing options in the wake of lingering disruptions following the pandemic.

The study, entitled PatientPay 2022, found 63% of respondents indicated they were experiencing staffing shortages in their revenue cycle departments, which can lead to less predictability in revenue streams. As a result, there is heightened interest from healthcare providers to work with third-party financial partners to support their business and patient management needs. Providers are particularly looking for help improving the patient experience, with only 42% feeling satisfied with their current patient payment solutions. Providers are focusing on improving check-in and payment capabilities, also known as the “digital front end,” to provide a more seamless and retail-like payment experience for their patients.

“We designed this study to get providers’ point of view on their patient payment needs, to better understand how technology supports payments processes, and to learn more about how the procurement of those services occurs,” said David Stievater, Partner, CWH Advisors. “Overall, our research found that providers work hard to balance their financial goals of accelerating cash flow and reducing debt with offering excellent service and flexible payment options to patients.”

Other key survey findings included:

  • All organizations surveyed indicated patient payments are a “high” or “moderate” priority for their organization.
  • Exactly 68% of providers ranked excellent customer service in their top three priorities for selecting an external patient payment solution.
  • Additionally, 59% of providers assessed patient financial literacy as “poor” despite investments in educational collateral and additional front-line financial counselors.

“The research illustrates providers’ need to improve cash flow with faster, more reliable payments and patients’ desire for modern care financing options,” said Tim Donovan, SVP, Health & Wellness, Synchrony. “Third-party financial partners, like Synchrony, can help patients obtain the care they need and improve their overall customer service experience, while accelerating cash flow and reducing bad debt for providers. Our services ultimately provide a frictionless, simplified payment system for the organizations with whom we work.”

Synchrony, a company with a 90-year heritage in consumer lending and more than 35 years of experience in healthcare finance through its CareCredit healthcare credit card, offers educational resources to help patients learn more about healthcare costs and the financial solutions that can help patients plan and pay for care. CareCredit is a health and wellness credit card that patients can use to pay for deductibles, for treatments and procedures that are partially covered or not covered by insurance, and for other health and wellness services for individuals and their pets. It is accepted at more than 260,000 provider and retail locations nationwide.

Rochester Regional Health launches Advance U Education Program to fill clinical roles and deliver best-in-class patient care

Rochester Regional Health has launched a new strategic workforce education program for its more than 19,000 employees. The Advance U Education Program will support career mobility for Rochester Regional employees, with tuition paid upfront by the health system. This latest addition to Rochester Regional’s robust array of workforce development programs reflects the health system’s commitment to creating career-long advancement opportunities for its employees. In its vision to “lead the evolution of healthcare to enable every member of the communities we serve to enjoy a better, healthier life,” Rochester Regional understands that its most powerful asset is an educated, engaged workforce.

Starting April 4, Rochester Regional’s Advance U will be available to employees across the health system’s hundreds of New York locations. The program will support Registered Nurses (RNs) to obtain BSN degrees (bachelor’s of science in nursing), and will provide entry-level employees the opportunity to gain skills and earn certifications in in-demand career fields such as Medical Assisting or Medical Coding. In the future, Advance U will grow to include additional education opportunities to help Rochester Regional team members advance their careers with the organization.

Advance U is the newest addition to Rochester Regional’s continuing investments in workforce education and career development. The health system’s Isabella Graham Hart School of Practical Nursing since 1964 has prepared students to launch careers as Licensed Practical Nurses (LPNs). The College of Health Careers Associates in Nursing Program opens an LPN-to-RN pathway. In addition, Rochester Regional continues its longstanding Clinical Laboratory Technology Program at Rochester General Hospital, and its Certified Nursing Assisting and Certified Home Health Aide Training programs.

For Rochester Regional team members, Advance U removes the financial burden of education for career advancement. The health system will cover 100% of tuition for degrees and certifications earned through Advance U. The cost of higher education can be a significant barrier to healthcare jobs, particularly for employees in entry-level roles with limited discretionary income to invest.

“The first step to any career is getting that first opportunity. At Rochester Regional Health, we want our employees to grow and advance with us, so that whatever role they start in can be a stepping stone to a lifelong career with our health system,” said Dr. Richard “Chip” Davis, Rochester Regional Health CEO.

Rochester Regional is the second largest employer in Rochester and provides essential care for communities across New York. For many of its entry-level employees, their job with Rochester Regional is their first; by offering upfront tuition coverage for skills and certification courses, the organization hopes that the first job marks the beginning of a long and robust career at Rochester Regional.

Advance U was designed in partnership with InStride, a global leader in strategic workforce education.

“In healthcare, unlike many other industries, a significant number of roles require professional certification,” said InStride co-founder and Chief Operating Officer, Jonathan Lau. “Rochester Regional Health is investing in their employees by providing the education they need to earn those certifications at no cost to them while they work. With the Advance U Education Program, Rochester Regional Health is not only filling the roles they need today, they are also building the workforce their system will need in the future.”

Vibe Health by eVideon Partners with Aiva Health to Bring Voice Control into the Hospital Room of the Future

Vibe Health by eVideon Partners with Aiva Health to Bring Voice Control into the Hospital Room of the Future

Vibe Health by eVideon, the leader in hospital smart room technology and digital workflow solutions, announces a new partnership with Aiva Health, a virtual health assistant that provides voice-powered care for hospitals and senior living communities. Through this partnership, the Vibe Health platform integrates with the Aiva platform to harness the power of voice assistants to create a contactless smart room for patients, families and clinicians.

This partnership holds the power to drastically improve labor efficiency and patient experience in the hospital setting. Voice assist technology enables patients to take care of basic needs while relieving clinicians of ancillary tasks that may have previously impacted their time caring for patients at the bedside.

“Our partnership with Aiva Health is the perfect marriage of innovation and optimization,” said Jeff Fallon, Chairman and CEO of Vibe Health by eVideon. “The seamless integration with Aiva’s voice-control technology unifies otherwise disparate systems in the patient room. We are putting patients in the driver’s seat where they play a key role in their recovery, and we’re saving clinicians valuable time throughout the day by relieving them of non-clinical tasks and enabling them to focus on direct patient care.

While voice-control in the hospital setting is rapidly expanding, consumer adoption of smart technology with voice capabilities is not new. A 2022 report by NPR and Edison Research found that 73 million Americans 18 and older own smart speakers —equivalent to 35% of the country’s adult population. Though Alexa dominates the majority of the market share, competitors such as Google Home and others have made a mark as well.

“Our partnership with eVideon demonstrates how voice-control capabilities play an integral role in Smart Hospitals,” said Sumeet Bhatia, Founder and CEO of Aiva Health. “Healthcare systems and technology providers need to work collaboratively to improve the patient and clinician experience. That’s what this partnership is all about.”

The Vibe Health and Aiva Health partnership will be displayed primarily through Vibe Health’s Engage TV solution. The footwall TV is the focal point of many patient rooms, and the integration will allow patients to take advantage of patient education videos, relaxation content or entertainment by using the sound of their voice. Aiva Health can also be integrated with other in-room controls, such as dimming lights or opening blinds. Patients enjoy the independence of this technology, while clinicians benefit from the reduction in administrative tasks, freeing time to focus on delivery of high quality, clinical care.

A demonstration of this integration will be showcased at the HIMSS23 Global Health Conference & Exhibition in Chicago, April 17-21, 2023. Representatives from both Vibe Health and Aiva will be on hand at booth #8313 to show the interactive features of the technology. Vibe Health by eVideon will be the headline sponsor of the Patient Engagement 365 Pavilion, located in the North Hall of McCormick Place Convention Center.
